Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage - What Does the Bible Teach?
This 39-chapter book examines the relevant passages in both the Old and New Testaments so that his readers can establish a consistently biblical position on these three important subjects. As a result, readers can see more clearly and accept more firmly the truth of Scripture. The book succeeds at being exactly what the author wanted it to be: "a comprehensive, lucid, accurate study presented in a readable and practical style." It is a valuable resource for the pastor, the counselor, and the church leader, as well as for any individual who simply wishes to understand and apply the principles of God’s Word in their marriage. Additionally, it offers hope and encouragement to those whose lives have been effected by divorce.
Divorced Preachers - Are They Qualified?
This book has polarized preacher's fellowships, conferences, and camp meetings all over America. Whether or not you agree with the thesis of the book, it will force you to think. It offers hope and restoration to those victims of divorce who wish to serve in the Lord's churches.

A Symbol of Hate? or an Ensign of the Christian Faith?
In recent years the Confederate Battle Flag has been vilified. As a result most do not realize the flag is NOT a symbol of hate but it was a Christian Symbol dating back to the Roman-Celtic Wars. The flag was carried into battle by William Wallace in the War for Scottish Independence and the flag has also been used by several Christian groups through the centuries as they fought against Popery and for freedom from tyrannical governments. With 61 sources listed in the endnotes, this 10-chapter book gives the real history of the Confederate Battle Flag (also known as the "Southern Cross" or as "St. Andrew's Cross") and sets the record straight.

The Life and Ministry of Brigadier General Richard Montgomery Gano
The history of the American nation nearly spans the life of this one man - his grandfather was Rev. John Gano who baptized George Washington and his grandson was eccentric millionaire Howard Hughes. This is a 10-chapter book.
History of the 19th Texas Infantry
Just before his untimely death from cancer Col. Gary Canada gave Dr. DeVries the unfinished manuscript of this book and ask him to finish it. So the majority of this book was written by Gary Canada. Dr. DeVries wrote the introduction and Appendix sections. This book details the activities and battles of the 19th Texas Infantry during the War for Southern Independence (1861-1865). Guidebook for Pastor Search Committees
Over the years several churches have contacted Dr. DeVries' office at the School of Biblical & Theological Studies to ask for help in securing pulpit supply and pastoral candidates In many cases, they would say "I am the chairman of the pastor search committee but I do not know what I am supposed to be doing." This book was written to help. Over 100 men were interviewed who had served on a search committee, over 100 pastors were interviewed, and several "lay people" and seminary faculty members were consulted to develop the approach outlined in this step-by-step manual. All forms and documents needed to carry out the process are included in the guidebook.

Three Sins That Will Curse A Church (Out of print - only available as an eBook)
Having preached all over the United States, in hundreds of churches, and seeing that many of them had lost the blessings of God to three common sinful attitudes, Dr. DeVries was burdened to write this 32-page book. Pastor Chris Huff, upon reading this book wrote: "I have read Dr. Ed DeVries' book Three Sins That Will Curse A Church and I urge every Baptist Pastor to secure copies for everyone in leadership at their Church. I have ordered several, and plan to make it required reading for every member of my staff. I think that many Church disruptions and ministerial failures could have been prevented if people understood and respected the truth that is in this little book." (Out of print - only available as an eBook)

Prayer is Simple
Basic instruction on how to pray - a step-by-step walk through ""The Lord's Prayer."" Religion has a terrible habit of complicating the simple. When the Disciples ask Jesus to teach them how to pray He did not give them a theological discourse. He did not preach a sermon - or a series of sermons. There were no detailed instructions. He simply said, ""After this manner pray ye,"" and then, He prayed a very brief and simple prayer to the Heavenly Father. In less than 5 minutes Jesus had taught His disciples everything they needed to know in order to begin conversing with their Heavenly Father. Yes, Friends and Neighbors, prayer really is SIMPLE! Do you struggle in your prayer life? Do you desire to pray? To simply pray? To simply set or kneel and converse with your Heavenly Father? Jesus taught His disciples how to do so in just a few short minutes. Prayer is Simple! So simple, that, as this easy to read book illustrates, even a child can do it.
